Problem:
Many early model Saab vehicles may experience a hard start or no start situation. The starter may turn slowly or not at all upon key activation. A voltage drop test is strongly recommended. A minimum of 9 volts is required at the starter solenoid connection.

Solution:
The installation of a starter relay kit may be required if proper voltage cannot be reached at the solenoid connection. Saab has created a starter relay kit (part # 191-911-251), which will ensure proper amperage and voltage at the solenoid connection.
